Did you plan a PostgreSQL Version of Oracle Dataprovider? There was many tools to convert PL/SQL to pgPL/SQL and SQL-Syntax was 95% compatible. The background was that we plan to add a CMS to our products. Big Consumer uses our Oracle Version small Consumer uses the PostgreSQL Version.

Another reason was to use DNN with complete Open Source Databases. We think PostgreSQL was the best. I see on my search for a DNN PostgreSQL Provider that also many other people search for this.

I think the interest is so small, because there are not many alternatives. Of course I understand their business model. We must all make money. But I think with real alternative for open source databases also increases the interest. It should PostgreSQL and MySQL lead. Even if these users are not prepared to spend much money, this is certainly a business model can be found.

This will certainly times larger projects realized so far on the borders of "MS-SQL Express" and "Oracle Express" will fail.

PostgreSQL provider is rather a waste product of the Oracle provider.
